2016 ALEC Protest Rally (Indy)

Wednesday, July 27, 2016 - 3:30pm

Who Funds ALEC?

More than 98% of ALEC’s revenues come from sources such as corporations, corporate trade groups, and corporate foundations.

Each corporate member pays an annual fee of between $7,000 and $25,000 a year, with additional annual fees of up to $10,000.

Why would a corporation want to pay tens of thousands of dollars to this organization? Because that is a small price to pay in exchange for passing ALEC-authored laws designed to pad their profits.

In Indiana, ALEC and ALEC members have passed laws to:

  • Take away collective bargaining rights
  • Dismantle unions through “right to work” legislation
  • Suppress wages
  • Suppress the vote

Join Central Indiana Jobs with Justice in calling on all Indiana lawmakers to #DumpALEC and end their membership with ALEC! We’re rallying on Wednesday, July 27 at 3:30 pm EST at the statehouse in Indianapolis
