A town hall-style meeting on public education, hosted by Liz Watson, is scheduled for Tuesday night from 5:30 to 7:30 at the Monroe County Public Library.

Watson is a 9th Congressional District candidate in the May 8 Democratic Party primary.

Panelists at the event will include Caleb Poer, a student at Bloomington High School North and one of the leaders of the group Bloomington Students Against Assault Weapons; Lacy Hawkins, a teacher at Bedford North Lawrence High School; Lucy Fischman, former principal of Binford Elementary School; Terry Pittman, of Laborers International Local 741; and Cathy Fuentes-Rohwer, chairwoman of the Indiana Coalition for Public Education-Monroe County, public school parent and member of the Monroe County Community School Corp. board.
