Special guest Ronald Simko and a new interpretive sign are among the highlights of a Workers Memorial Day event scheduled for April 28 in Building and Trades Park (619 W. Howe St., across Second Street from IU Health Bloomington Hospital).

Recognized annually in the U.S. since 1989, Workers Memorial Day honors workers killed or injured on the job.

The Interpretive Sign Dedication and Workers Memorial Day Ceremony begin at 5:30, preceded by a half hour of labor songs performed by The Locals.
